Summary

Staff role in growing Company! Looking for a staff person wanting to progress. Individual will be a key contributor on the Corporate Accounting team responsible for the recording, reconciliation, and review of accounting. Individual will work closely with the audit manager and team of other analysts to deploy accounting policy, stream-line processes, comply with superior controls, and take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the accounting information.

Major Responsibilities:

Lease Administration - 75%

  • Interpret/analyze Leases, Amendments, and other related legal documents and be able to make sound interpretations and judgments based on given data using established policies & procedures.
  • Create, enter, update/maintain lease, panel, lessor/payee and payment information in system according to the policies set forth.
  • Process all payments and place lease payments on hold, be able to monitor and report out reasons for items being on hold for a given period of time, and follow-up with the markets to ensure policy is being adhered to.
  • Provide quality customer service to lessors and branch associates in all respects, including but not limited to inquiries on payment status, notification of change of address, and requests for information.
  • Assist in month end close procedures. Maintain performance up to the standard of service level agreements with branch locations. Provide assistance in scanning documents, phone calls and mail.

    Maintain Documentation and Continuously Look for Process Improvements – 10%

  • Recommend updates to desktop procedures and process flows as part of best practice of maintaining current documentation.
  • Develop and implement more efficient systems, as they are approved, for various departmental activities and programs; i.e., not just entering the data.
  • Continuously challenge current processes as the business evolves to suggest and implement improvements in policy, procedure and systems.

    Respond to Ad Hoc Requests and Special Projects – 15%

  • Communicate with Supervisors/Manager effectively when issues come up with procedures and/or customer service relations.
  • Assist the manager in corporate reporting when needed. Work on various special projects as they arise.

    Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Accounting or Business is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience; CPA attained or in process.
  • Highly committed, reliable and competent professional.
  • Demonstrate assertiveness and ability to speak up and ask questions as necessary.
  • Encompass a positive attitude, embracing change and supporting others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Well organized; self-starter; ability to get things done in a team–oriented environment.
  • Must have solid analytic skills.
