Summary
Well Established San Antonio Company is looking for a Controller with energy, ideas, and strength in accounting. Position reports directly to the President of the organization. The Controller will direct and oversee all financial activities of the Company.
Major Responsibilities:
Oversee the accounting department – including month end close and staff development.
Prepare departmental budgets as well as analyze budget projections against actual figures, suggesting improvements as appropriate
Confer with President to coordinate and prioritize financial planning,
Preparation of financial statements with notes
Study long range economic trends relating them to the Company’s mission and operations,
Manage cash flow and supervise cash management and investments, working with banks and/or investment managers as required,
Oversee payroll and benefit processes and records,
Establish and maintain pertinent policies and internal control safeguards,
Provide consultative support to other managers
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with major general ledger systems such as Oracle or other ERPs.
At least 8 years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities,
Strong Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Excellent analytical and organizational skills,
Knowledge of and experience with fund accounting is a plus
Experience with accounting for multiple legal entities, consolidations, and cost allocations
