The Business/Financial Analyst Senior will analyze business financial data that drives strategic decisions leading to profitable growth, develops financial models and summarizes results and identifies trends and provides recommendations to the team’s internal customers.
Major Responsibilities:
Develop financial models to reflect opportunities under consideration, including applicable business models and strategies
Participate in projects and cross-functional project teams focused on improving business unit financial performance
Development of the five-year business unit strategy
Develop financial models to capture and appropriately reflect the financial implications of the various initiatives
Develop, review, and maintain meaningful operational dashboards, metrics, and scorecards to ensure business operations are in alignment with corporate strategy
Analysis of financial results to budget, forecasting and reporting
Identify key drivers of variances
Competitive and market trend research, benchmarking and comparative analysis
Evaluation of investments into product capital and the associated financial impacts
Position Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business or related field
At least 6 years of business financial analysis experience, including financial modeling
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
Experience developing financial models to reflect opportunities under consideration, including applicable business models and strategies
Experience developing financial models to capture and appropriately reflect the financial implications of the various initiatives
Experience generating reports that compare actual results to budget, latest forecast and prior year
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated analytical and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly to constant change
Ability to work independently or with a group in a dynamic work environment
Ability to challenge assumptions and results
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercising sound business judgment
Masters degree in Business or related field preferred
Experience with Business Objects or another enterprise-level data mining tool a plus
Experience with Hyperion & Access a plus
